STARS OF WONDER

I heard someone once say that ‘air conditioning was to blame for our growing lack of community and neighborliness.’ Once we started getting comfortable inside with cool, humid-free air conditioning we stopped going outside. Instead of sitting outside on the stoop in hopes of a little breeze, to bring relief and refreshment we tucked ourselves inside, and consequently interacting with our neighbors became less and less.

WHO IS IN THE ROOM?

Would your life be different if you were more aware that Jesus is present in every thought, conversation, and situation you are in today and always? If you were to picture Him at your table, watching television with you, on the subway with you, .or in traffic with you, would anything change? You may not be excited about the event but deep down you are glad to be asked. Even the extremest of shy introverts like to be invited even if they choose not to attend.

Obedience is God’s Love Language

Dr. Gary Chapman introduced people to the concept of Love Languages in 1995. His book entitled ‘The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts’ showed readers how people express love and receive love differently. Physical touch may be very meaningful to you but to your loved one words of appreciation may be a more significant expression of love.
