YUCK!

YUCK!

What was the most disgusting thing you have ever eaten? Was it a single food or a combination of foods? Perhaps you made a weird sandwich of pickles, peanut butter, salad dressing, tomatoes, and broccoli and then you ate it! You might have loved it but no one else wanted to try it, did they?

What happens to your face when you eat a lemon slice? Does your chin drop, your lips pucker, your eyes squint?

?What is one of your favorite foods to eat? Pancakes? Pizza? French fries? Chicken? Potato chips? Cupcakes? Have you ever eaten something so delicious you wanted more of it?

The Bible tells us to taste and see that the Lord is good and that we are blessed when we trust in Him.

How do we taste Jesus? Taste means get to know. We get to know food by putting it in our mouths. We get to know Jesus by reading the Bible which tells us about Him.

You want to be blessed, right? The same verse that says ‘taste and see that He is good’ says we are blessed when we trust in Him. So to be blessed, we trust in Him. Trust means to put your confidence in someone or something. You trust that your favorite food is going to taste yummy to you. You can trust when the Bible says the LORD is good, He is good and He will work ALL things out for good, even the yucky stuff.

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8 NKJV

Dear God, help us to trust in You. We are thankful that You love us and that You can do anything. We are worried about situations in our lives but we place our trust in You to bring about good. You are good. We love You, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
