MY HAMSTER – CHILDREN’S DEVOTION

‘He’s mine, give him back to me,’ screamed eight-year-old Addy to her 15-year-old brother, Alex.
‘You have to clean my room first,’ said Alex.
‘Your room is nasty, I’m not doing it,’ declared Addy with her arms crossed in front of her chest.
‘Then you don’t get Teddy, your hamster back. He will live in my nasty room with all my cooties and germs and take a risk of getting sick, perhaps he’ll even die.’ Alex lifted Teddy’s cage high above his head so Addy couldn’t reach it. ‘That’s the deal one hamster for one clean room.’

PLAYDOUGH CREATIONS

Do you remember playdough? Perhaps you even still have some? Playdough has always been a favorite activity in our home. Worms have been rolled, smiley faces have been made, triangle and oval shapes have been created. The playdough colors often get mixed together never to be separated again and we love what that represents.

foods? Perhaps you made a weird sandwich of pickles, peanut butter, salad dressing, tomatoes, and broccoli and then you ate it! You might have loved it but no one else wanted to try it, did they?

ECHO – A Children’s Devotional

An echo is a cool effect unless it is a negative thought in your mind. If someone has ever called you a name or said something about you that hurt, it is often tempting to keep thinking about those negative words, letting them echo in our minds. Those types of echoes are destructive, very destructive.

SNOWFLAKE BENTLEY – Children’s Devotional

Snowflake Bentley is a man from my hometown. He was fascinated with snow crystals. In 1885 at the age of 20 years old, Mr. Bentley became the first person to ever take a picture of a single snowflake. He went on to take thousands of photographs advancing the world’s knowledge of weather, meteorology, and snow crystals. He found that no two snowflakes are exactly alike and of course, neither are people.

PINKY PROMISE – Children’s Devotional

Have you ever made a pinky promise or pinky swear? Have you shaken hands as an agreement of ‘let’s do it!’ Have you and another pricked your fingers and dropped blood on each other’s fingers as an act of promise? We often make promises to one another with every intention to keep them but we don’t, we fail to keep those promises.
