I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well. Psalm 139:14 HCSB
Do you remember playdough? Perhaps you even still have some? Playdough has always been a favorite activity in our home. Worms have been rolled, smiley faces have been made, triangle and oval shapes have been created. The playdough colors often get mixed together never to be separated again and we love what that represents.
No matter how wonderful a playdough creation is, you can’t breathe life into it. You can’t make it complex, you can’t give it a brain or the ability to breathe, run or talk.
Imagine trying to make a creation out of dust? You might shape it into an object but breathe life into it? Only God can do that and He did it with Adam. The Bible tells us this is how He made man. The rest of creation He spoke into existence but man He created out of dust. He formed the dust and then breathed life into Adam.
He is Your Creator too. Psalm 139:13 says ‘He made all the delicate, inner parts of your body and knit you together in your mother’s womb.’ God doesn’t make mistakes, you are not a mistake. You are His creation and He loves you. He is for you! Will you walk in trusting Him today?
Father God, thank You for making me. Thank You, that You don’t make mistakes. Thank You that Your heart is for me. Thank You that You want to keep blessing me. Help me to always want to bless You, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person. Genesis 2:7 NLT
