{"id":1651,"date":"2021-06-23T15:13:45","date_gmt":"2021-06-23T15:13:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hisfavorite1.net\/hfvwpr54\/?p=1651"},"modified":"2021-06-23T15:15:57","modified_gmt":"2021-06-23T15:15:57","slug":"fight-or-flight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hisfavorite1.net\/hfvwpr54\/?p=1651","title":{"rendered":"Fight or Flight"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/hisfavorite1.net\/hfvwpr54\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/stand.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1653\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hisfavorite1.net\/hfvwpr54\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/stand.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hisfavorite1.net\/hfvwpr54\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/stand-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 1920\u2019s a doctor presented the public with his theory that animals respond to a dangerous situation with one of two responses; fight or flight (running from the situation).&nbsp; This theory was then adapted also as a natural human response, our flesh\u2019s response.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bible clearly tells us to ignore our flesh neither fighting or fleeing but standing in the midst of our battles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> When our jobs are threatened, marriages attacked, hearts broken, false accusations made, bank accounts emptied, we stand.&nbsp; We are not to run, hide, defend, retaliate, lash out or attack others, we stand.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our battles are not against our boss, family, co-workers, or even someone in the fellowship.&nbsp; The battle is against principalities and powers and Jesus has already won the battle.&nbsp; He won it at the cross.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exodus 14:14 remind us He fights for us, we need only to be still. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Romans 12:19 reminds us that vengeance belongs to the Lord, not us.&nbsp; He will avenge the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What are you at war with today?&nbsp; What is your heart\u2019s struggle?&nbsp; Will you stand and let the Lord work it out?        <div class=\"rmwr-wrapper\" \n             data-id=\"rmwr-6a24ad79733a6\"\n             data-mode=\"normal\"\n             data-animation=\"fade\"\n             data-duration=\"300\"\n             data-smooth-scroll=\"true\"\n             data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <button \n                type=\"button\"\n                class=\"read-link\" \n                id=\"readlinkrmwr-6a24ad79733a6\"\n                data-open-text=\"Read More\"\n                data-close-text=\"Read Less\"\n                aria-expanded=\"false\"\n                aria-controls=\"readrmwr-6a24ad79733a6\"\n                aria-label=\"Read More\"\n            >\n                <span class=\"rmwr-text\">Read More<\/span>\n            <\/button>\n            <div \n                class=\"read_div\" \n                id=\"readrmwr-6a24ad79733a6\"\n                aria-hidden=\"true\"\n                data-animation=\"fade\"\n                data-duration=\"300\"\n                style=\"display: none;\"\n            >\n                <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ephesians 6:10-17 &#8216;Finally, be strong in the Lord&nbsp;and in his mighty power.&nbsp;<sup>11&nbsp;<\/sup>Put on the full armor of God,&nbsp;so that you can take your stand against the devil\u2019s schemes.&nbsp;<sup>12&nbsp;<\/sup>For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,&nbsp;but against the rulers, against the authorities,&nbsp;against the powers&nbsp;of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.&nbsp;<sup>13&nbsp;<\/sup>Therefore put on the full armor of God,&nbsp;so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.&nbsp;<sup>14&nbsp;<\/sup>Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,&nbsp;with the breastplate of righteousness in place,&nbsp;<sup>15&nbsp;<\/sup>and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.&nbsp;<sup>16&nbsp;<\/sup>In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith,&nbsp;with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.&nbsp;<sup>17&nbsp;<\/sup>Take the helmet of salvation&nbsp;and the sword of the Spirit,&nbsp;which is the word of God.&#8217;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Father God, thank you that we do not have to run, hide or fight.&nbsp; We need only to stand on Your victory, Your Word, character and faithfulness.
