Addy slumped onto her pink bean bag chair, her body and her countenance sinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Zaydenn let\u2019s go ride our bikes,\u2019 invited Lucas. Five-year-old Zaydenn was engrossed with building a colored, prismatic, magnetic empire. He didn\u2019t even respond to his seven-year-old brother Lucas.\u00a0 \u2018Zaydenn,\u2019 said Lucas louder. Zaydenn didn\u2019t even lookup. \u2018Zaydenn,\u2019 shouted Lucas. Zaydenn still didn\u2019t respond and frustrated Lucas went over and knocked the epic magnet creation to the ground. Zaydenn threw himself on Lucas and started hitting him.\u00a0 Lucas finally had his attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Think of a time when you\u2019ve been ignored. It happens to all of us. You\u2019re talking to somebody and they aren\u2019t really listening. You raise your hand but you aren\u2019t picked. You want an invitation to someone\u2019s party but they don\u2019t ask. We like to be listened to, acknowledged, and validated. We consider it rude, ill-bred, and uncivilized to ignore people. Yet, we ignore God all the time. He wants our attention and we cover our ears and walk away.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God wants to spend time with us and we turn on the television. He wants us to read His Word to learn of His great love and hear His voice but instead, we text someone else. He wants us to pay attention when people are teaching us about Him and we daydream about other people, other places, other events.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even adults must work at becoming more aware of His presence.\u00a0 He is everywhere and anywhere. Let\u2019s not be rude to God. Let\u2019s include Him, be attentive to His invitations, and enjoy Him. He loves to be enjoyed. As we ignore him less and less, we will become more and more blessed.
